There was no preliminary screen. Instead, several candidates - including myself - were directly booked for single-day face-to-face interviews spread over two consecutive weekdays. However, after all the candidates had committed themselves to panel interview times and dates, XPO Logistics (Portland, OR) made an offer to one of the FIRST candidates interviewed on the FIRST day of interviewing - and immediately CANCELED all subsequent scheduled interviews, preventing at least half of the candidates from competing! I ended up filing a complaint to corporate HR management who informed me they would carry out an investigation. To date I have not received a response.
