I interviewed before the acquisition with two members of the department that the role would have managed, no one in leadership. I joined the call early and heard them on hot mic complaining about how many meetings they had and essentially I was just another meeting for them. They were decidedly unenthusiastic about the whole role and when I asked questions around how silo’d they seemed they really didn’t have good answers. They seemed understaffed and stressed - they did not present that employees there were anything other than miserable.
