      Entrevista

I applied online, after a month I was contacted by HR. Plenty of back and forth over the next month with two phone interviews (both with members of the team I would have worked with), then I was flown to SF for five in-person interviews. A week after that I had a skype interview with a department head. After over two months since applying, HR emailed me to say that they will be moving forward with another candidate. My impression of the team is that they are under-staffed but very excited to be doing what they are doing and I enjoyed meeting and interviewing with each individual. My biggest complaint is that the process seems unnecessarily long, I'm not sure if a team just isn't permitted to make a decision on its own or what but overall the process does not seem to value a person's time, not the interviewers' nor the interviewee's. I had another offer from another company and made HR aware of this letting them know that I would happily let the offer go if there was an offer coming from Twitter. I asked if they could expedite the process at all since I had to respond within a week (it had been over two months since I applied and all of the interviews listed above were completed by this time and I was told there were no interviews pending). They responded and said that they would be finishing up the process soon and would get back to me. They failed to do so before the week was up and probably would not have gotten back to me until much later if I had not notified them that I had turned down the other offer. Within a few hours they responded and let me know they were going with someone else. I feel that is unprofessional, it is very unlikely that they just happened to make the decision hours after I notified them of my decision to turn down another offer and far more likely that they were just reminded to finish this process when I got in contact with them. I'm inclined to put this more on HR than the legal policy folks.

I was very excited to get a call back since I did not think I was qualified. The process when like this: 1. Applied online 2. Contacted by recruiter for a phone screening 3. Phone Interview with a manager Everyone was very professional and polite. I do believe if this was on-site interview instead of phone interview (we were having technical difficulties....), it could have went better

      Entrevista

I applied on their website with a resume upload. Weeks later I received an email that they wanted to interview me. I received an email asking for days/times that would work. I responded and then got an email telling me the time and day that I would have a phone interview with the hiring manager of the department. I was asked some pretty general questions about my resume. He seemed nice and friendly and it appeared as though he was interested/impressed with my experience. However, I was not offered the position. I thought that in one of the beginning emails I was told that I would get feedback post interview but never did.

They had just asked about one of the jobs on my resume about project management. Maybe I should have been prepared but I didn't think it necessarily related to the position so I was not prepared. They asked for an example of a project that I was in charge of managing and wanted a detail explanation.
