I can't remember the exact job title, but I had applied for a role at Wynnstay to be a part of their office team. There were only 2 of them in the office, and they were looking for a 3rd to join. It was my first interview after a long time and I had prepared well enough after researching the company and prepping questions. Admittedly, I was overqualified for the role but I wanted something different from my overwhelming PA jobs. I arrive at the location 5 minutes early and was seen 10 minutes later. I sat in their office and was told it would be a really informal chat without any pressure. We chatted away for a good 30 minutes. Throughout this, I was not asked about my experience, what I could bring to the table, what I've done, my qualifications, NOTHING. It was a chat solely on the Christmas tree that was in the office and how drivers just walk in and out of the room. I had made them laugh, I was pleasant, and though I walked away not wanting the role, I couldn't believe I received an email to say I wasn't a good fit for the role. How had they got to that, I'm not sure as I wasn't asked anything relevant.
