      Didn’t do in person interviews because of Covid. Very brief - there was 1 virtual interview. I provided the founder with samples as she requested, it became clear she wanted me to provide her with original content for her organization. I never heard from her after the samples and the virtual interview.

      Extremely unprofessional. Right out of the gate asked me if I was located in New York, when I said I would be relocating soon but wasn't currently there she immediately stopped the interview.

      Thank you for your comment. As we have explained to you in reply to your post call email, we did not want to promote any false expectation for you. We use a system called Workable and we clearly stated the position was in NYC and it was not remote as we are an essential organization. During our call we did identify that you were not currently living in NYC and you had stated that you may move to NYC in August or September. We expressed that the position was an immediate hire and that we wanted to be honest with you. We also asked to keep in touch as we may have other positions opening us as we expand. I am not sure what else could have been done other than to go through the interview and set false expectations, which is not our style. We prefer to be honest and upfront, even if it is not always well received. We have had other interviews with experienced candidates who have actually brought the topic up first thing and have welcome the honesty, that lead to some wonderful dialog and referrals to other partners who may be able to engage them remotely.
