      Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. Acudí a una entrevista en Workiva

      Entrevista

      Initial conversation with HR/Talent Acquisition, then a web meeting with two members of management, a second web meeting with two more members of management, followed by a 1:1 with a Sr. Director of Services. Overall, I felt like I got on well with each meeting attendee across all meetings. They asked many canned questions that you may expect to be asked during an interview process which was slightly underwhelming, but the personalities were friendly so it wasn't a problem. I asked questions that were on my mind and I confirmed answers to those questions during subsequent meetings, and confirmed things I had learned along the way. I'm not big on asking questions for the sake of asking them, and I felt that I had been given all of the detail that I needed to make a decision on the company and my interest in joining. Here's why I'm writing this: I was told, after a week of no contact and only upon my request for an update, that I did not ask enough questions and that they felt I didn't seem adequately interested as a result. I am taking this as constructive feedback that I will use going forward, but to hear this felt unfair. I don't know how applying for a position at a company, demonstrating that I've taken the time to read about them based on their website and industry publications, and asking questions/confirming what I've been told does not demonstrate an interest in the position. It was completely unexpected, and really disappointing. What recourse does an applicant have to respond to this? Really disappointing.
