Incompetent HR function. After my interview with the hiring manager (I was the very first interview) the HR contact was fired. It took two weeks for a replacement to be found - and I am the one who initiated contact. It took 2 more weeks to actually speak to the new HR rep who never bothered to speak to either the hiring manager or review records of my interviews in the ATS. A few days later I was advised that the position was given to someone who was "farther along in the hiring process." I can accept being turned down for another candidate but this was ridiculous and highly unprofessional.
