I first had a called with the hiring manager, we chatted about the role/my experience and salary expectations which was slightly above what they were offering, nevertheless the hiring manager really encouraged me to go through the recruitment process which at the time I thought was positive. I was then informed I was i was through to the next stage of the process which was a written task, i then passed this stage and spoke to their recruiter and was then invited for an interview. The feedback came via email from their recruiter the same day. He explained that I received good feedback but was ‘overqualified’ for the role . I expressed my disappointed and asked for further feedback on this as I didn’t quite understand how I was overqualified, needless to say I never received a reply. One of their values that they go on about is their ‘radical candour’ but after my experience it doesn’t seem like they actually embody this.
