      Entrevista

HR emailed to schedule an interview with the direct manager. We arranged a Skype interview since I lived in another state and the manager lived in another country. After that, I had a phone interview with HR. Then a phone interview from another marketing manager who worked in the Hoboken office, where I would be working. Last, HR requested references. The interview with the direct manager walked the line between formal and informal. She started out by asking the standard questions, but after that we just talked about the position vs my experience, her management style vs my work style, where I wanted my career to go. The interview with HR was mostly a run down of my resume. She asked questions about various experiences/skills and I answered with the stories behind the bullet points. She also asked questions about things that could be a concern, like how I would handle working with a remote manager and the logistics of moving halfway across the country. The interview with the other marketing manager was even less formal. He asked questions loosely based on my resume, but more opinion oriented. (Ex. I mentioned managing social media on my resume, so he asked my opinion on whether engagement or reach was a more valuable metric.) After those he was very conversational, telling me about the office and the culture and the Hoboken area.
