I received a call from recruiter for Senior Analyst Compensation role. Interview process was smooth. Got selected for the role as well, however after my selection I was asked to meet my manager for face to face discussion which went pretty well too. It was followed by introduction with the team I was going to work with and the team was told that I will be working from Pune location. However next day I received a text saying that they are looking for more candidates for interview and recruitment team will reach out to me. This was a very strange experience, as I was not given a valid feedback as to what lead them to revoke my selection. All I could think of is that after my face to face introduction, I met one of my colleagues from previous organisation and after my meeting with her things changed, well I might be wrong that this factor led to revoke of my selection. Even after my selection for this role and introduction with the team, it was shocking for me to know that I will be not be joining the firm. I consider to be a very unprofessional behaviour of not informing the candidate with a valid reason and revoking the offer after selecting all of a sudden.
