It was my in person interview, and i gave my best answers with all the confidence i had that day. Initially i gave my resume and after some days i was called for an interview in the store. General Manager of the store took my interview.

I had an interview for a management position with the General Manager and District Manager on different days. They both asked me for my social and my birthday for a background check and put on a paper. The Store Manager lost my info. Not sure what the District Manager did with it. That is an illegal process for a background check. The potential employer must have the written authorization of the job applicant. That authorization must be provided on a separate piece of paper and must identify the precise nature and scope of the background check to be conducted (e.g. whether an investigative consumer report will be prepared which may entail contacting the applicant's former employers, associates, friends, and/or neighbors to provide information regarding the job applicant's character, general reputation, etc.). Hmm, what else do they do wrong?

The process rook much longer than it should have. I began speaking with the District Manager in May. I started the job September 9. He would call then discuss some things with me and tell me he would call back the next day because he had a meeting to attend. That day would turn into a week. I would have to call and remind him of who I was even after he had spoken to me a few times. That should have been a red flag, but no, I still proceeded to take this job. His excuse was that he was getting ready for a neww store to open and it was taking all of his time.
