The hiring manager called and interviewed for 30 min-1 hr, within 2-3 weeks later a decision was made an offer extended, I countered with desires after consulting with my current manager. I highly recommend offering the courtesy of notifying current manager when interviewing for a job, this will only help you. If you are a solid employee they can be the extra help that is needed to decide! I started on my new job within 3 weeks after I accepted the offer.
