I applied through Craigslist and I got a reply back within a hour I sent my resume/cover letter. The job description listed mainly cleaning tasks that we would be doing but also helping members of the communities by testing out their projects and some IT work which was interesting to me. I interviewed Aug. 16 at one of their lounges in Manhattan. I thought it was going to be a massive group interview but eventually it was one-on-one. I met with two people there and both interviews were simple and easy. The people that interviewed me said that we shouldn't think of the job as a cleaning or maintenance position, so I went with that. I got hired on the spot, filled out some paperwork and later that week I had to go to there HQ for orientation which was extremely unorganized and lasted longer than it should had. At first, a lot of us thought that training would begin the following day, but without us even knowing until the last minute, training was pushed to the following Sunday. Training consisted mostly on how to clean certain things and from then on I knew that this job was going to suck. I was given my location as to where to report to work and that facility has NINE FLOORS. All we did was clean, clean, clean. Clean up after ungrateful people. I quit after two days because I didn't sign up to be a custodian. Apparently, the cleaning company that had prior to hiring 100+ employees for this "Community Service Associate" position, most of the employees didn't speak good English so they wanted to hire young, hip english-speaking people. Unfortunately, i think this position will experience a high turnover rate, so WeWork should get ready.
