Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 6 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en WeWork (Bengaluru) en sep 2017
Entrevista
I applied to this position and was contacted within 72 hours for an Interview with the Design Director which was a face to face interview and went pretty well. I was told that I would be later interviewed by the VP of Engineering on Google Hangout. The second round of interview with the VP of Engineering was great as it was scheduled within a week after my first round and was told by the hiring manager that I was great in the interview as the VP of Engineering had some good inputs on me. I was confident of the position and was waiting to meet the franchise owner for the final round which was basically to go through the cultural aspects of wework and if I would be the right fit for it.
I waited for almost 5 weeks for a response for the final round but the franchise owner in Bangalore was not available and hence the HR put me with VP of Operations from WeWork for my final interview. The interview went fine and the concern for the VP was whether I would be okay to adapt to the culture in India as I had moved from USA after 5 years of work experience in the US. I was pretty confident as I grew up in Bangalore and lived here for 16 years. This interview was through Google Hangout. After 2-3 days of interview I followed up with the recruiter about the position/decision and was contacted by the Indian office in Bangalore for the final round again with the Franchise owner who was busy for a month and was scheduled for the interview on the same day as a face to face interview. The communication level was so pathetic that the assistant who called in to check on my availability wanted a time right away rather than having an option or flexibility in the time or day of interview. This was poorly communicated with no email communication and later accepted the interview for the same day.
By this time I had lost my patience on the complete communication between the offices handling the hiring process and the way it was communicated. In the span of 7 weeks I was interviewed 4 times, meeting 5 different members across the globe and still no positive response.
Finally I received an email saying I was rejected - this would be heart breaking or a negative impact for most of the candidates but it was a great learning experience for myself on how such a large company like WeWork lack the basic knowledge of proper execution of communication and coordination.
