They reached out via email to schedule an interview, which we did. Then right before the phone interview they rescheduled, I feel that was a bit unprofessional but that’s fine. Due to the time difference I had gotten confused on the time and reached out via email to confirm, I got a somewhat rude email confirming my mistake on the time difference. (They are in NE and I am in CA). Anyways, I finally have the phone interview and it sounded like the interviewer was outside and was busy. But anyway, she asks me a number of questions, but just seemed uninterested and condescending. I was asked what my weaknesses were and she told me that wasn’t an adequate weakness. I tried explaining why I chose this as my weakness but she just brushed me off and asked me another generic question. THEN when it came to me to ask questions, I began asking and she told me this was not the time to ask those questions. I’ve honestly never had a recruiter be this rude and just kind of blow off all my attempts to get a better understanding of the role. It seems she had made up her mind before even talking to me. Very unprofessional.

The interview was simple and straight forward. They asked about my experience with excel/ bookkeeping along with some small talk. They made it clear that upward growth isn’t always guaranteed unless you are willing to move to other locations. I decided not to go to the second interview. Not the job for me but definitely suitable for someone who doesn’t mind moving.
