it is very hard to find open positions through their "computer program/ network". The positions get filled in quickly, quietly and secretly by referral by other general managers. But if you do hear about an interview, and go to one, it is to just to make you feel that you had a chance like the rest. That is why going to an interview without being a "favorite" or an "ass-kisser" will just lead to a waste of time. "Favorites" get an unfair advantage of being given the possible interview questions - which are the "situational" type of questions (give me an example of a time when you....helped out a customer). These responses can be totally made up, (as with any response in any interview) but will be the determining factor . Hence, the subjective process which favors "premeditated hiring" . The things that count... such as length of employment there, education (college degree) , work ethic, (participating in "truck" or "warehouse receiving" - which is the physically most demanding part of the job) , and everything else that is real ... DOESN"T COUNT. To be promoted in this company, be prepared to kiss major ass or you will be surpassed by those who do.
