Very interesting interview process. First contacted by a recruiter and had a quick phone conversation. I then had a phone interview (I was overseas at the time) with a director and was given "homework" where I had to write a response to three questions and take a personality test. I was then set up to do a "desk-ride" once I returned stateside where you basically come in for a full day to shadow all of the different roles. I was given "goals" during my desk-ride where I even had to make phone calls to drivers and build loads (...where's my paycheck?!). I do get that they want new employees to understand the culture and day-to-day, but a full (unpaid...) day to do that is pretty excessive in my opinion. After the desk-ride, I chatted with the director about what I thought and was told to go home and process everything and follow up. Followed up later and was told that they would get back to me after making a decision. Never heard back at all, but I had basically decided for myself at that point that I knew this wasn't what I was looking for.

First there initial phone interview with a recruiter, then a face to face interview with the manager, and finally two-day desk ride to determine if you will be a good fit.

Interview process is way too long. Phone interview, in-person interview, then desk ride. The desk ride is uncalled for. It is very excessive to be there 8 hours to shadow. The basically want you to train for me, so they can start you working if you get the job....
