They check for your product skills and people management skills in the tech round. My issue is with the HR Round. They try to analyse how much travelling you do because the company policy requires you to inform them 2 week in advance about your workation plan. Also if the location is exotic like beaches or mountains it would be rejected and you will have to apply for leave. I don't understand if you are promoting the company to be remote first and the employee is doing this 8-9 hr shift and is in the same time zone. Why does it matter where he/she is working from? Didn't like their leave policy as well. 1.5 leaves a month. (1 day paid and 0.5 sick) which you can not use during probation.
