Entrevista
I applied for this position, which was posted as being a remote opportunity. Phone screen with recruiter went well, typical vetting stuff. Confirmed that I was interviewing for a remote opportunity.
After no response for several days, I kept following up with the recruiter for next steps. Finally got on the hiring manager's calendar more than two weeks later, and had a great interview.
I was then booked for four half-hour interviews with members of the team I'd be working with, the next day.
I got a call from the hiring manager in which they informed me that the company would like to make me an offer, but that they'd like me to complete two final interviews, which I did the following week. They also went well.
After a few days passed, I checked in with the recruiter on timeline for next steps. We had a call in which I was told that everyone really liked the time we'd spent together, but the executive in charge of the business unit (with whom I hadn't interviewed) was uncomfortable with hiring remotely.
Note that the hiring manager and recruiter both are remote, the job was posted and confirmed to be remote, and there are no requirements of the job that necessitate daily presence in an office.
Thanks for putting me though a month of interviews, stating intent to make an offer, only to back out, and not for a business reason.
