Interviewed at Panimalar Engineering College, Chennai.
The recruitment process started off on a Friday morning and ran late into Sunday. We before informed a day before that there would 4 rounds in the selection process with a salary package of Rs 16 LPA.
ROUND 1 - Aptitude Test
We had about 2000 eligible students in our campus. Overwhelmed by the number, the recruiters (or rather recruiter, as a only a single person from the company was present) decided to abandon round 1 of the process, the aptitude test.
ROUND 2 - Programming on HackerEarth
All of us were asked to take up the second round, an online programming test. There were 2 questions and time allotted was 1 hr 45 mins. Fairly easy round, almost everyone managed to crack one question. The round ended at about 2 PM, and the results were announced at 5 PM in the evening. Students who managed to crack 1 question or more were selected.
ROUND 3 - Programming on HackerEarth
There were 2 questions and 2 hours to solve them. Again, fairly easy questions. Almost everyone managed to crack the logic behind the problems but time complexity was the issue. Only few of them managed to pass the test cases. It was announced that the results would be announced by e-mail.
ROUND 4 - Technical HR at Sathyabama University, Chennai
(The results were intimidated by email at 10 AM, the next day. Students who fared poorly in Round 3 were selected, barring some exceptions. One person who didn't attend Round 3 was also selected.)
The interview was scheduled for 1 in the afternoon. Very little turnaround time but given the salary package, worth a try. What was scheduled to happen at 1 in the afternoon happened at 10 in the night. Questions about data structures were asked, and basic computing concepts were evaluated. The ability to code was also tested.
ROUND 5 - Technical HR at SRM University, Chennai
Again scheduled to happen at 10 AM, the interview happened at 9 PM. Another round of technical questions, and coding problems.
Lack of organisation and transparency in the process. Not sure on what basis students were selected.
