As someone with multiple years of UX design experience, I expected the evaluation to focus more on skills, experience, and portfolio discussion. Instead, I left with the feeling that my background, communication style, and accent created barriers during the process. I understand companies choose candidates for many reasons, and maybe another person was simply a better fit. However, As someone interviewing in a second language this experience made me question whether my experience was evaluated fairly. I hope future candidates receive clearer feedback and a more transparent hiring process.
