I received an email asking to schedule a phone interview and the initial phone screen with their recruiter took place the next week. I was notified the following week via email that I was not selected to move forward with the hiring process. Although I did not make it very far in the hiring process, this was still a great experience. I applied for the position because I enjoy the field I work in very much but have been hoping to find a company that aligns more with my goals and values. I was really happy with what I learned about the company; its transparency and commitment to employee success. What I learned in the interview process helped solidify my goals to work for an organization that I believe in and I can grow with. Essentially, the interview process gave me hope. That alone is worth my time and the sting of rejection.
