Regardless of the fact that I was given an offer by Virtustream, I have to give them high marks for their hiring process. I was contacted via email about 1.5 weeks after applying online. I had a great Recruiter who I had an easy rapport with from the start. He was extremely open with me about the position, the company, the Hiring Mgr, the approved salary range, the clients, etc. He was also accommodating with my availability for interviews as I only wanted to do interviews after normal business hours. I did 2 phone interviews - 1 with the Hiring Mgr and 1 with her peer. Each lasted 1 hour to a little more than an hour. I also liked that everyone was open about some of the not so great things about the position (e.g. may require after hours availability, etc). I felt that everyone was just honest as it’s important for prospective employees to interview the company they are considering as well. Overall, I am quite happy that Virtustream was able to offer me what I am worth and I will be able to work remotely which was high on my requirements list! Looking forward to joining a company that already seems quite transparent. I have always preferred hard truths and respected Virtustream’s entire process and everyone I came in contact with!
