This was for a contract position. Overall the team was lovely. Got through to the two calls, and then a final panel. Got great feedback, even connected with team on LinkedIn. Hiring manager did not show up, and recruiting team was a mess. They scheduled a 2 hour panel but told me it was just an hour. Then of that panel, only three of six people showed up. They took turns chatting and were frustrated at recruiters for being so messy in the scheduling. Got told I was their number one candidate, and then ghosted me for a week and a half. I get a call out of the blue saying they are worried about my commute (1 hour and 20 min ~). Even after I reaffirmed I would relocate, they still ghosted me for another week. I finally hear back after reaching out, and the recruiters can’t get their story straight. Out of the blue they said ViaSat was being picky. Overall wasted a month of my time. ViaSat, you have awesome projects but please get your recruitment in check.
