      The initial stages of the interview process went relatively well. The HR team was prompt in their responses, and during an online interview with the team lead and director, they extended an offer for an onsite interview.   However, shockingly, right after just one hour of the second online interview, I received a rejection email. This abrupt and unexplained end to the interview process left me deeply disappointed and bewildered.   During the interview, I candidly expressed my concerns regarding diversity, specifically with regard to the team's composition. I had heard that there were five team members (=whole team) of Chinese descent, and I wanted to ensure a harmonious fit within the team. My intention was never to reject working with a Chinese team, but merely to inquire about the team's diversity and dynamics.   The HR and team assured me that the team was more diverse than I initially thought, with various nationalities represented. I assumed that this would resolve any misunderstandings. Shockingly, despite their assurances and a clear understanding, I received a rejection email. The reason provided was utterly confounding. ViaEurope seemed to believe that I would not work effectively with a team that included five Chinese teammates, an assumption I never made or communicated during our discussions. This decision is not just bewildering; it is profoundly disappointing.   My overall experience with ViaEurope was frustrating. While the initial stages held promise, the abrupt rejection has raised questions about their hiring process.
