I applied online in September for a retail sales representative. In November I was contacted by an HR representative, who set up a phone interview with me. I apparently passed and was scheduled for an interview with a 1 on 1 interview with a HR rep and a store manager(from a different store than the one I applied to) the same day. I was informed that I would be notified in a week and a half at latest if I had gotten the job.
A week and a half later nobody had called so I e-mailed the woman who had initially set up my interview. She claimed that she was forwarding my e-mail to the appropriate person. Another week went by and nobody had gotten back to me. So I went to the store where the position was for and talked to the manager, who said he would look into it and took my name and phone number and gave me his business card. After another week of no responses I e-mailed the manager, and never received a reply. At this point I stopped trying to contact anyone. FINALLY in the middle of January over two months after I was supposed to get a reply I got an e-mail, at 4:30 AM on a Sunday saying, "Unfortunately, we have identified other candidates who more closely meet our requirements for this position at the present time."
I don't care if you don't want to hire me, but don't tell a candidate who has put long hours into preparing for an interview that you will get back to them if you have no intention to. I would have been happy with an e-mail that just said NO, instead of being led on for almost 6 months. All in all, the most unprofessional experience I have had with a business in my life.

The interview lasted about 45 minutes, and the questions were based on my knowledge of the brand, technology in general, behavioral styles, also what if scenarios and her views of the culture

I applied online and passed the online assessment, I then did a video interview and after had to wait a while until I was contacted for a job offer. The interview consisted of STAR scenario questions which were all fairly easy. Once I got the offer they started the background check which took 8 days to clear.

There were three parts to my hiring process. 1. The recruiter called me and asked me questions. 2. I spoke to the Assistant Manager. They asked me standard questions and we role-played a standard sale. 3. I did an in-person interview with the General Manager. We also did a role-play as well. BE PREPARED FOR THAT.
