I had been told the intention was to move quickly for this position from the beginning. With that, I assumed that meant I would hear back about the status within a day or two. After an initial phone screen, creating a presentation within an hour, then a second (positive) interview December 6, I was not contacted again until December 22 to let me know that I was not chosen for the position. To receive that email 16 days later honestly felt like a slap in the face. I understand going with someone else for the position, but just as candidates are expected to communicate, we expect that of the company as well. It’s the very bare minimum you can do.
