I applied online and interviewed first with the hiring manager (the company’s CMO), followed by a conversation with one of his direct reports, the Product Marketing Manager. Overall, it was a disappointing and unprofessional experience. The CMO came across as very unfriendly, jumping straight into rapid-fire questioning in a way that felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. Despite that, he seemed interested in my background and moved me to the next round with the Product Marketing Manager, which was actually a great and engaging discussion. I was told I’d be advancing to the next stage, but after that, I was completely ghosted. I followed up directly with the CMO but never received any response — incredibly unprofessional.
