The interviewer was not interested in my professional experience but rather asked questions solely on my university experience, given the fact that I had less than 2 years of post-graduation experience. This is understandable, but it surprised me since the job was not a new grad role, and the job description stated only 1 year of professional experience in related fields was required. I felt unsure about the relevancy of some of the interview questions, such as "What was the last non-fiction book you read?" to which the interviewer gave no follow-up and promptly moved on. They gave me a second interview despite verbally stating they were unsure about my experience. They cut that second interview short after 20 minutes, and again, I felt like the questions did not align with the position I was interviewing for. I would have appreciated more constructive feedback rather than being continually told they were unsure about me as a candidate.

I just made it to the initial call. I could almost see the exact moment when the recruiter checked out. It wasn't a fit, and it was clear by the recruiter asked the rest of the questions that it wasn't.
