From the beginning, I was transparent about my expected compensation, and the HR team initially confirmed that it was within budget. Based on that, I proceeded through multiple rounds of interviews, even went the extra mile to prepare and share a strategic deck as requested. After over a month of discussions, I was informed by senior HR that I was selected and would receive an offer within two days. A week passed—no offer. When I followed up, I was told the role was "under discussion." Eventually, I received a message from a third-party source stating that the position was closed with another candidate. My question is simple: If my compensation expectations were a concern, why proceed with the process at all? Why waste a candidate’s time, energy, and trust if you were not aligned internally on budget or role clarity? This isn't just poor communication—it reflects a lack of respect for candidates’ time and career decisions. Professionals invest a lot in interview processes, and being strung along for weeks only to be dropped without a proper explanation is unacceptable. To the team at Veeda Lifesciences: Please do better. People's careers and livelihoods are not to be treated this carelessly.
