1. I received an assignment with logic-related questions with 1-2 days given time to complete. The questions were interesting and thought-provoking, if rather strange at first glance. They included:
- Assume your company is planning to build houses in Antarctica and you are the project manager. What would you ask experts on the field to start working on the project? Prepare a list of specific questions.
- Estimate the number of mechanical weighing scales in operation in the Czech Republic. Nobody knows the exact number but try to estimate it as closely as possible.
- Assume your company is making electric scooters and you are assigned to work on their safety. What tests will you perform?
2. Next was a two-part online call. The first part was a questionnaire with an hour of time given to complete. The questions were on:
- Defining networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, routers etc.
- Linux and Windows administration; specific commands to check/modify network, processes etc.
- Converting binary numbers to hex, math questions
- Logical questions.
- What tests would you perform on a mechanical bathroom scale before it is shipped to potentially millions of customers?
The next part was a 40-min talk with a QA team leader, who briefly asked for further clarification on the networking and OS administration questions, then switched to talking mostly about the bathroom scale testing question. I mostly brainstormed through the testing process (functional, error, boundary, performance, security, accessibility, internationalization, localization tests) and tried to narrow down and optimize where possible. I did not advance to the next round.
Notes: I asked the interviewer who their "ideal candidate" for this role was, given the large number of Linux/Windows administration and networking questions, in addition to testing knowledge. The answer was a mix of "hardworking, great solo and great in teams, driven" and after a pause, "you know, smart".

It was a four step interview process.
The first step was a technical take home task for initial screening. I was asked to estimate the number of mechanical scales in the Czech Republic and to describe tests I would run on an electric scooter before it would be released for use.
After the technical task I was invited to the second stage, which had two parts. The first part was an online questionnaire with the HR representative. It included questions about networking, logic puzzles, general Windows/Linux knowledge, and a section where I had to describe a comprehensive testing process for a household scale.
The second part of that stage was a discussion with a team lead. Mainly focusing on the household scale testing task and turned into an engaging back and forth conversation about my approach and reasoning.
After that, I was invited to a 30 minute technical preparedness interview, This focused exclusively on networking topics like DHCP, DNS, subnet masks, DNS records and other related concepts.
The final step was a two hour interview with three team leads consisting of three parts. One team lead focused on logic puzzles, another on networking, and another on QA.
The team leads and the HR representative were very nice throughout the entire process. I got the impression that the company is friendly and welcoming. Overall, although a four step process was naturally anxiety inducing, the interviews themselves were very enjoyable and well structured.

Candidates are required to invent as many tests as possible for testing a well-known household appliance. Then, they're required to answer technical questions about Windows (Windows domain, IP address, DNS, DHCP, Windows shared folders) and Linux in order to better understand the candidate's technical background. Several logical and mathematical questions as well.

Interview process is exactly the same to the ones aforementioned here on Glassdoor for this role. They don't even care to change the questions that are floating in here asking about Mechanical Scale and the same math and logic questions. Interview process of the online tests was really unappealing as the QA Lead only really re-read my answers and had very little to add. The take-home assignment is where this got unfortunate for me. I have received a specifically designed, flawed app to test and it took a lot of time to put it into professionally looking report. My PDF had more pages than my Bachelor's thesis. Screenshots, videos and professionally - up to industry standard (I have worked as QA for 3 years beforehand) written bugs - mostly critical, vulnerability failures - got summed up with 'We expected to see more bugs'. I have reported LOTS of them and it took me 9-10 hours of work. They have declined a professional because they wanted to see quantity over quality which is not something I have suspected happens over at Veeam. Zero understanding of the candidate, and automated process. I believe, if I did "spam bugs" and put it in notepad with no attachments or professional record, they would invite me to the next stage which is hilarious. My best guess, based on how they reacted to my report, is that they expect to see around 30-50 bugs for the app

Mechanical Scale, Math Questions - the same are all over glassdoor - ask Grok to scrape them off the internet for you.
