There was a short screening interview and then, the next step was a take home assignment. The next step in the process was an interview with the manager. During this interview, I was asked some screening questions that could easily have been part of the first interview. But if someone doesn't pass the screening, then they wasted their time on the assignment, which is what happened to me.
