      Entrevista

      First off, I have to say, the interview process wasn't necessarily bad it was just super weird. I went to their NY office (which was located in a pretty inconvenient location) and I was immediately greeted by a friendly face and a smile. They got me some water and quickly ushered me into a conference room. I met with four different people. Most of them were very nice. However, there were a few things that stood out to me (and this is the weird part): 1. Whenever I asked people how long they'd been there everyone said 1-2 years. Seemed like a very high turnover rate. 2. I got the impression that all of the people interviewing me, while they were mostly very nice, had never conducted an interview before in their lives. At times, I felt like I was leading the interview. I had to say something along the lines of, "Do you have any more questions for me?" at least 2 or 3 times because there were so many awkward pauses where they clearly had no idea what to ask or say. 3. Everyone who works there looks younger than me (and I'm still pretty young). This was definitely a red flag. I literally did not see a single person that looked older than 25. Heck, most of the people there looked like sophomores in college. It was super weird. 4. While MOST of the people I met with were very nice, the few people who weren't acted oddly immature. For example, as I was leaving after one of my interviews the young woman who had asked me questions turner around, rolled her eyes, and muttered something under her breath. I have no idea what she said. What the heck!? I was nothing but kind and respectful. I never heard from them after the interviews. Not sure if I ever will. Overall just a super weird experience. If I had to describe it in one sentence I'd say: It's like you walked into a high school that is conducting a mock social experiment where students dress up in suits and pretend to be part of some fictitious company and a lot of the students don't know what they're doing and just want to go home. Oh, also, I asked the senior managers about GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I've worked with interns in the past few months who knew what that was. Big red flag.

      I met with 3 media directors, they were all very nice. They just weren’t straight up about a lot of things and after the recruiter followed up with me I asked the recruiter a few questions and they just never answered.
