Recruiter reached out to me over LinkedIn and then spoke with the recruiter on the phone. She painted a decent picture of the company and the position they were interested in filling. I had some hesitation since the job wasn't fully what I was looking for, but the salary range seemed good and there seemed to be opportunity for growth so I moved forward with interviewing. First interview seemed to go well. First portion was some work personality and scenario questions and the second half was technical questions. After the interview the recruiter quickly reached back to to schedule the 2nd round, which was in a presentation format. I was supposed to present a short PowerPoint based on 1 of 3 tech topics. The recruiter called prior to the interview to answer any questions and to calm my nerves a bit. I started presenting on the 2nd interview when the interviewer cut me off in the middle, stating they were already familiar with the topic. I was then asked a couple security questions relating to the topic I choose, which I answered as best as I could. The interviewer seemed not to agree with one of my answers and asked if I wanted to elaborate. In hindsight I could have provided a better answer, but my expertise isn't in security and I stated this with the recruiter before interviewing. I had the chance afterwords to ask a few questions and then was told by the interviewer that I would hear back from the recruiter short order. After not hearing back after a business day, I called the recruiter and left a voicemail. I did not hear anything back until nearly two weeks later, at which time I received an email stating that I did not get the position. The biggest negative was the drop off of communication after the 2nd interview. The recruiter was very responsive during the interview process, but after the 2nd interview having no communication when I was told I would have a quick response seems unprofessional, especially after leaving a voicemail with a call back request.

HR interview was good going over my experiences. Hiring manager interview wasn't structured at all just going over many things on my resume and listing out technical questions so it wouldn't be the same for other people. I had to be on video but the hiring manager just had a picture up so that was different from my experiences. Overall though it was a good experience!
