Originally approached by a Varonis recruiter that stumbled upon my resume and setup an initial phone screen, followed by an interview with the local team lead, and another interview with the team's manager & another team lead. The interview with the recruiter and local team lead were great with positive feedback despite the position looking for people to work 50+ hour weeks. The original tech recruiter went MIA and I eventually was reached by a different corporate recruiter 3 weeks later which seemed like it was a 'cold call job poach', which I requested clarification if this was for the original position I was applying for or a new position, and the recruiter never answered.
Through some side channel communication, I had discovered that the original recruiter left the company but my application somehow fell through the cracks and was picked up by this new 'corporate recruiter'. Despite this, I was still excited to continue the interview process and work with the company so I agreed to schedule the next round interview which was with the manager & team lead. This interview went well, but then I didn't hear back from the recruiter for nearly 2 weeks until I emailed & called for following up multiple times with no response. The response I received from this recruiter for the position that was posted to Portland, OR stated that "they are focusing on candidates on the East Coast right now."
This was odd because they still had recent postings on their Varonis Careers page in addition to their LinkedIn job postings that said they were actively hiring for this role in Portland yet their recruiters don't seem to understand what is going on. I reached out and asked for clarification on this because the recruiters from Varonis were the ones that originally reached out to me, but the recruiter never responded.
I'd recommend for the recruiting department to get their act together and not drag on the interview process for 2+ months.
