I withdrew my application a couple of weeks after interviewing with Valor. I’m not sure if they would have asked me for a second interview but I’d have declined. The interviewer asked me some strange questions about philosophy and whether or not I believed “truth” was real. These questions seemed really out of place for an education position and I was concerned they may be trying to discern my political or religious beliefs based on my answer. Additionally, I saw some concerning statements on their web pages that led me to ask how they create a campus culture that is inclusive of diversity and I was not given an answer I was pleased with. I have no other personal experience with Valor and this could have been a complete fluke but either way it did not seem like a good fit for me, personally.
