After the initial application to VMware.com the recruitment staff is typically very responsive in reaching out to candidates that meet at least some of the job skills/requirements. During the initial interview a basic technical screen is completed where questions related to the job role you applied for are asked. During this call the recruiter also asks several question to judge your scope and how you would fit into the company. The next interview is a visit as well as more in depth look into how you troubleshoot technical problems. Next you will meet with a manger and discuss several behavioral questions similar to other companies but more importantly look at how you approach working an issue and how you gain and share knowledge. Some times, particularly if you are moving to join VMware, they like to have a follow up conversation to ensure you will be joining the company for the right reasons and look to avoid hiring someone who is serious about joining particularly out of your area.

Second interview is the technical interview with team engineers
Third interview is the managerial interview with director/vp level personnels

The interview process was smooth but takes too long since the screening call to the final interview.
I was told that I passed all the interviews but never received an offer.

THE Vmware interview process is worst than any other company. Process took 1 month. 1st : - technical round Basic Networking (45 min) 2nd : - Technical round -Core Network (1h20 min) 3rd: - They call Management round but again it 90 % Core Networking questions and 10 % management questions (1h30 min). 4th : - Hiring Manager round (15-20 min, And guess what Again Technical round ) . 2 weeks no updates and even after followup by the candidate. After 3 weeks finally received an email stating they are not considaring my profile.
