Interview Experience at VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation
I was initially excited about the opportunity to interview at VGH, especially after reading positive reviews on Glassdoor. The process began with a 15-minute phone screening with a recruiter who was friendly and asked relevant questions. After the call, I was asked to follow up via email with an answer to one of the questions, which I promptly sent.
The second round was an in-person panel interview with three team members. A few questions were challenging, but overall the 50-minute interview felt fair and well-structured.
Unfortunately, the communication afterward was disappointing. I was told to expect an update by the following Friday, but I never received any follow-up. Despite reaching out once more via email, I did not get a response.
While I understand that not every candidate will move forward, timely communication—especially after multiple rounds—goes a long way. A simple update would have been appreciated and is a reflection of professional courtesy.
