The first step was a phone interview with the search committee (about 7 people). This was an hour long and consisted mostly of questions regarding my professional experience and then specific questions about how I have handled certain situations, and what experience I have working with various populations. I was then contacted for a full day on-campus interview. This day consisted of meeting with groups of people such as the search committee, students, staff, and one on one meetings with my direct supervisor and her supervisor. The day is very emotionally exhausting but a great way to get a good feel for the campus climate and personalities.
