I thought this was a typical job agency where they are paid by the organization supplying the job, but it turns out they are a job agency that trains the candidates to get a job in tech, and gets paid by the candidate after they receive and accept an offer. I wish that was made clear in the first screening phone call and first interview. I had to wait to find that out while speaking with the owner of the company. A lot of wasted time on both ends. Just be transparent up front in the screening call please.
