Considering the role was a HR role, and I was interviewed by two senior HR staff, the interview was very poor. They seemed to forget that an interview is a two sided exchange, it was all about their agenda, no welcome or building of rapport/placing candidate at ease, and very little interest or opportunity for me to ask questions.
They were straight in with their questions which were delivered in such a suspicious tone, that it sounded as though they either didn't believe my answers, or were trying to catch me out on the answers I gave. I quietly decided during the interview that the role was not for me, but being polite kept this to myself.
To confirm my experience and opinion, they didn't even have the courtesy to drop me an email to let me know I had been unsuccessful. Having taken time out and driven an hour each way, this is appalling. They have resources - a recruitment and HR team ....no excuse!
It was easy and straightforward. It moved by very quickly and I had a great experience. HR was responsive and kept me updated through the process. Overall, it was a nice interviewing experience.

The process included a phone screen, 2 zoom interviews, personality test and an assessment/project. After completing the full process, was told the position was eliminated, I was overqualified and the job was reposted the following week.
The project/ideas I submitted as part of my interview process have since been used by Unum which is disappointing since I wasn’t compensated for those contributions.

Typical interview questions; phone screen mainly about work experience

I had a 30 minute phone interview with the recruiter then an onsite interview. The onsite interview was a bit odd, one interviewer was very nice but the other I got some odd hostile vibes from. When I asked at the end if the hostile one had any concerns about me for the role, she said "I don't discuss that in the interview." I had never gotten a response like that before so it was just embarrassing and off-putting. The good thing was that the recruiter actually CALLED me soon after to let me know they were not going forward with me in the process which I really appreciated. Most people just send a denial email these days if you get any response at all.
