5 interviews - phone call, architecture session, java and javascript, exec chat Initial phone call was pretty standard. It's for both sides to get a feel of whether this would be a good fit or not. Had a really nice chat The next 3 happened altogether. The architecture one was a fantasy scenario where you have to provide ideas in how you would built software in a changing company. It was a lot of fun. The java one was a kata that we did. This was to get a feel for how one approaches the problem, so you talk through the solution a lot, and to get a feel for your TDD ability. The javascript one was similar. We looked at completing some tests and spoke about why certain tests were better than others. Overall I had a great experience. I'd only would've liked to have some more time between for bathroom breaks :) Also bring some water with you to save time, though they did offer when I got there. The last interview is probably similar to a cultural fit interview although all the interviews have an element of this. It's a fairly informal chat with an exec member where you get to talk about what you'd like to do at Unruly and ask any questions. The process took awhile for me but at my request as I was required to give a fair amount of notice for absences from the client I was working at. Honestly would have been happy to interview even if the outcome was not successful. I have found interviewing in London to be quite ruthless and stressful. This was a completely different experience. I'm very grateful to all the interviewers who were so nice and the recruiter who was super accommodating.
