I found this really strange; that they would want my presentation, before meeting me? what's to stop them from implementing it with someone else cheaper to work with? I also wanted to judge the people I would potentially be working with are trustworthy.
Here, they agreed, and credit where its due,: accommodated me, despite some initial resistance.
