I was brought in through my own network - I knew someone, who helped me get my foot in the door. That process was easy - once it got to HR, the process slowed down significantly. I met with my potential boss informally, then had a call from HR, then met with my potential boss and coworkers, then had to meet with the HR director. It was a long process, took almost three months from initial interview to offer.

The first interview was over the phone, not a video call like I am used to. Interviewer was kind and engaging. While I did not end up getting the job they were communicative throughout the process.
