The interview was scheduled through a staffing agency. The whole process took a week. The agency arranged for a face to face interview directly. The initial questions were from an application director on basic 'where do u see urself in 5 years', strengths, weaknesses, rate urself in java (backend , frontend) from 1-10. Second half from hiring technical manager. Only two questions, one to write a java program and second to design DB for a situation. May be they are checking on overall programming skills. No other technical questions. Overall it was good.
