I Had Interview at Optum in Oct 2013 and joined in Dec 2013. Overall I faced 4 rounds including Technical, HR, Manager and client. Overall it went well but a lengthy process
Met with hiring leader then I had a standard technical Interview. Shortly after u received an offer. After some negotiation I accepted the offer and I started my new role shortly thereafter
Five (5) interviews before they realized I was overqualified. The process was a little drawn out in my personal; opinion. In some cases, there are two to three(2-3) weeks between the interview.
Was supposed to interview with the hiring manager but somehow in the meeting, one more person popped up out of nowhere. I was thinking it of more being like a screen but apparently they said that this is the final interview in the process. So the hiring manager alone gets to decide who gets the job, talk about biasness.
In terms of the questions, a set of behavioural and technical questions were asked however, instead of whiteboarding, I was asked to explain differences in SQL functions. A lot of focus on theory than practice.
Finally, for about 1.5 months, the recruiter kept telling me that my application is still under consideration until after they hired someone.
