Actual interview was months before I received an offer. Interview was normal. I then immediately disclosed a minor infraction from 10 YEARS ago. This was not asked about in interview or application. I was asked for some additional info about it. I gave entire truthful story. This was not even criminal. I got nothing from them that indicated it would matter. 4 weeks later the day before my intended start date I was told my offer was rescinded. I had obviously worked out my notice at prior job. Then all HR and management employees I had previously spoken with refused to speak with me. HR sent me an email 3 days later explaining that I could call HR and speak with someone to get more details. They referred me to the same HR staff and management that had refused to speak to me. Still refused. It’s nuts. Oh. I did not fail drug test and I was OVER qualified for this job.
