We recently hired someone for The Director of Product Development, a key role for our business following a long and rigorous interview process, along with additional project submissions. Our requirement for having an initial small project is a practice that has been in place since our company was founded, for all key product roles on both our Buying and Product Development teams. As a company who supports artists and makers, we do not take, use or copy anyone’s work or submissions for our assortment without permission. Our search for this role was seeking candidates who have highly specialized product creativity and originality talent that our business demands. The criteria also included demonstrating a product and business track record, along with management skills and leadership capabilities.
