      Entrevista

      I was contacted by a recruiter and then two phone screenings were set up for later that week. The first screening was with an HR recruiter and consisted of basic HR questions to assess if I was qualified for the job, if I could fit in working at the company, and if I wanted to relocate to Arizona to work there. The second screening was with an Engineer at the company. He spoke with me about my background and technical experience. I had a conversation with him about my background and where I wanted to go in the future. After the second screening, I was contacted a few days later and then an in person interview was scheduled. I flew out to Arizona and had a full scheduled day of interviews. I met with engineers in various positions at the company and they asked me some technical questions to gauge my knowledge on the subject of acoustics. The questions seemed fairly straightforward and no questions felt like a surprise that I couldn't answer. I had lunch with the team I would be working with and then met with the VP after lunch. He asked me about my background, as well as more technical questions and my future career plans. At the end of the interview, he had me use a waveform generator and oscilloscope to show that I knew the basics of how to operate them. After that, I went and took a walk with him through the office and then my interviews finished at about 3:00. The initial screenings and set up for in person interviews was within 2 weeks. I waited for about a month before they informed me about whether or not I had the job.
