Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 6 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Uline (Milton, ON) en ene 2021

      Entrevista

Where do I start? They had a job fair for warehouse workers and customer service reps during covid. So they didn't do the best job at social distancing and not having a bunch of people in one area. They started with 2 tests, a matching math test and patterns. Then you do an interview, ALONG SIDE A BUNCH OF OTHER CANDIDATES, with someone who works for the company. Could be a team lead, manager, or anybody at this point because they had so many people doing interviews. I interviewed with the senior customer service manager and during, I could see everyone else around me leaving out the door after their interviews. However, he told me to stay to do a second interview with HR. Sure enough, I do the second interview which was just behind a wall they put up in the warehouse. I thought it went fine and he let me know I could come back in a few days for a THIRD interview. I got the call and the HR rep told me the steps that I would have to take to proceed: 4 assessments I have to take online before the interview (which was in one day), 2 assessments when I get to the office for the interview, and then a final interview with the branch manager and customer service manager. The 4 assessments I did at home were a 72 question personality test, 50 multiple choice marketing scenario questions, an email writing assessment, and another personality test. All of this took me HOURS and they expected me to do it within 24 hours as if I have 24 hours free time in the day. No problem though..I really wanted the job at the time. The next day I got to the warehouse, completed 2 tests which included a typing test so they could see how fast I type (I got 72 WPM) which is great.. and then a spelling test (okay?). AND THEN, they had me sit for a half hour right beside a customer service rep while she was working and listen in on her conversations with customers..so I could get a feel of how the job looks like. Sure, no problem. Finally, I sat down with 2 managers for an interview, which I thought went great..given I did well the first 2 times and had to do 8 TESTS before I got to meet with them. What I found off was that they didn't ask me if I had any questions at the end..they kind of just had me leave right after. One of the managers was nice while the other was giving me the cold shoulder the entire time. When I emphasized that I'd love to be a part of a company that recognizes their employees so I could potentially move up, they asked me when I expected that to happen..and then hated my answer and proceeded to tell me that it wouldn't happen for YEARS after being in the company. How am I supposed to know that? You should feel happy that there is a candidate that potentially wants to dedicate their life to the company, work their butt off, and do a good job. After the interview, I was told they'd contact me in a few days whether it be a yes or no and then I received an email 3 days later saying they're moving on. I'm not saying they should've hired me or that I am the perfect person for the job. I'm saying they make every candidate go through 8 LONG tests, 4 were timed, under pressure, along with 3 interviews with 4 different people..all to say that they're not interested. As someone who has experience hiring in a customer service role, it doesn't take 3 interviews and 8 assessments to know if a candidate is a good fit for the job. What, am I applying to work for NASA? It's not right to put someone through this much stress and pressure just to shoot them down. What's funny is that I checked all of the reviews for interviews for Uline before going in and they're all similar to what I'm saying now. They were right. Don't waste your time applying and don't get your hopes up if you're that deep in the interview process.

      Entrevista

The interview process itself was straightforward and professional. What disappointed me was the lack of follow-up communication after being told I would be updated on next steps. Instead, I had to check my application status on the Uline website, where it changed from green to red, indicating I was no longer being considered.
